In this conference we plan to bring together researchers who
study out-of-equilibrium phenomena, classical and quantum, in a number
of diverse settings emphasizing the underlying common themes. Topics
to be covered include spin glasses, disordered semiconductors,
transport in mesoscopic systems, quantum circuitry and links to
combinatorial optimization and biomolecular folding problems.
Our aim is that the conference should provide a focal point for the
ongoing workshop on these topics. We hope to provide a setting
that stimulates transdiciplinary activity, thereby advancing
our collective understanding of classical and quantum systems out
of equilibrium.
