Recent progress in understanding the dynamics of astrophysical jets and disks raises the possibility that a comprehensive physical, rather than phenomenological, theory may be within reach. The program will begin with a focus on relativistic winds from pulsars, quasars, and gamma-ray bursts and related problems in plasma physics. As the program progresses the focus will shift toward the launching of jets and the connection between outflows and accretion. The final portion of the program will focus on the physics of disks around young stars, white dwarfs, neutron stars, and black holes.
