Support for this conference has also been provided by: AFOSR, JILA, and the MIT-Harvard Center for Ultracold Atoms.

A recent decade has seen an extraordinary experimental progress in realizing simplest correlated states of matter in ultra-cold atomic gases. Paralleling this development there has been an explosion of exciting theoretical ideas and models that fall outside conventional solid state paradigms. This conference will bring together researchers interested in the interplay of these two subjects with the goal of exploring realizations of these exotic correlated states in trapped degenerate atomic gases.
