Sandra Faber

A Hubble Space Telescope Picture Gallery

Wednesday, November 20, 1996
8:00 pm (Reserved seats held until 7:50 pm)

Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics, Main Seminar Room
The Hubble Space Telescope continues to produce amazing pictures of the Universe. Astronomer Sandra Faber of UCO/Lick Observatory, UC Santa Cruz, was a member of the first Wide-Field Camera Team and deeply involved in the launch and orbital check-out of the telescope.

She will present a slide-show of spectacular recent results including pictures never before made public, plus a stimulating, behind-the-scenes account of the early days of the telescope project.
