Position: Deputy Director

Description:
A Deputy Director position at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics will be available with a starting date of approximately July 1, 2012.  The Institute is supported principally by the National Science Foundation and has the responsibility of contributing to progress in all areas of theoretical physics.
 
The Institute seeks a person with a proven research record and administrative capabilities.  The Deputy Directors work closely with the Director in planning research programs, assisting with outreach planning, and in administering the Institute.  It is expected that a Deputy Director spends one half time in scientific research.  This is an appointment for a fixed term whose duration is negotiable, typically two or three years or more.
