KITP

Co-founded in 2001 by Fred Gluck, former Managing Director of McKinsey & Co. and Joe Alibrandi, former CEO and Chairman of Whitaker Corporation, this group of accomplished community leaders advances the research mission of the KITP through development and advisory activities. Council membership reflects the worlds of business, finance, technology, communications, law, the arts and science. Priorities include collaborating with the institute director on strategies for building a critical permanent endowment, enhancing outreach programs and overseeing Friends of KITP. Council members work closely with scientists to ensure the excitement of emerging ideas, a hallmark of the KITP, is shared with the community through a variety of activities and outreach programs.
