A block of rooms has been set aside for the use of our conference participants at The Best Western South Coast Inn in Goleta, California—about 2-1/2 miles from the UCSB Campus. Transportation to/from KITP will be provided.

The hotel offers special rates to our participants for approximately $137.50 per night (tax included), single or double. Contact them directly at 1 (800) 350-3614 or 1 (805) 967-3200 to make your reservation.

Mention the "STARS" group to receive the special rate.

Please Note: If you are traveling from overseas and need to make a hotel reservation at the Best Western South Coast Inn, please e-mail the Sales Director at: sales@santa-barbara-hotel.com. Mention the group you will be with (STARS) to be given your discount.

Lodging at the Best Western must be reserved by July 13, 2007. After that date rooms MAY BE available to you on a space available basis at their regular rate. The Santa Barbara area has a large tourist population and it is important that you make your reservations early.

From June 29 - August 31, there is also lodging available on campus at the Summer Inn. The Summer Inn at Manzanita Village is an undergraduate dormitory that is offered through the UCSB Alumni Association for summer use. KITP does not handle the rental of these units, arrangements are made by visitors directly with the Summer Inn staff. Manzanita Village is a dormitory complex that is located on campus, right on the beach. Bathrooms are shared with other units. Room rates are, per room: Single $70, Double $95. Space is limited.
