Dualities in String Theory
Coordinators: Michael R. Douglas, Wolfgang G. Lerche, Hirosi Ooguri
Recently it has become possible to explore nonperturbative regimes of string theory by using duality transformations. In
particular, such transformations relate the five superstring theories that were previously thought to be different.
Participants of this program investigated the physical implications of these dualities and develop and refine techniques to
study nonperturbative effects.
