The relationship and interplay between galaxies and dark matter halos that host them is a key topic in understanding galaxies and cosmology. This virtual conference is a follow-up on the KITP workshop "The Galaxy-Halo Connection Across Cosmic Time" that was held in the summer of 2017. In the past three years, there has been tremendous progress in this field: the availability of new and rich data sets, advances in modeling the galaxy-halo connection as well as breakthroughs in simulations of galaxy formation reproducing observations. We will discuss new findings since the original workshop as well as examine outstanding questions in the field. Topics of discussion include the galaxy-halo connection at the low-mass end, the origin of the scatter in the stellar mass halo-mass relation, constraints on assembly bias, forward modeling of the galaxy-halo connection and the impact of uncertainties on the galaxy-halo relation on cosmological studies.
