Physics of Dense Stellar Systems
Coordinators: Doug Richstone, David Merritt, Gerald Quinlan
This program will focus on the physics of stellar systems such as globular clusters and galactic nuclei in which the densities are high enough that the time scale for gravitational interactions is much shorter than the age of the universe. Emphasis will be on bringing together new theoretical techniques and data from new observations to develop a better understanding of this important class of systems.
