Derek A. Westen received his B.A. from Pomona College,
and J.D., Boalt Hall School of Law, UC Berkeley, 1970.
Mr. Westen is a local attorney specializing in real estate, general business, land-use, and administrative law. He has been practicing in Santa Barbara since 1974.
Mr. Westen is a lifelong resident of Montecito and has
been active in numerous local philanthropic organizations.
He has served on the Boards and is a past president of Planned Parenthood of Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties; the Legal Aid Foundation of Santa Barbara; the Housing Foundation of Santa Barbara; the Foundation for Girsh Park; and Ensemble Theatre Company. He also serves as a Trustee of Pomona College.
